Japan's top government spokesman said Tuesday a computer system failure caused by a cyberattack forced Toyota Motor Corp. to shut all of its domestic plants. Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told reporters one of Toyota's domestic suppliers suffered the disruption to its systems due to the cyberattack but did not elaborate further. He also urged other companies to prepare for a heightened risk of cyberattacks as the war in Ukraine continues.
