URGENT: Kishida says Japan to craft new economic package by end of April

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Monday his government will compile an additional economic package by the end of April to soften the impact of rising crude oil, food and other prices. Speaking at a parliamentary session, Kishida said he will instruct his ministers Tuesday to draw up a package to ensure the economy recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic and to minimize the effects of rising prices on people's livelihoods.
