Japan logs 2.38 tril. yen goods trade deficit in May

Japan logged a goods trade deficit of 2.38 trillion yen ($17.7 billion) in May, remaining in the red for the 10th consecutive month, the Finance Ministry said Thursday. Exports rose 15.8 percent from a year earlier and imports increased 48.9 percent, the ministry said in a provisional report.
