Japan logs trade deficit of 1.4 trillion yen in June

Japan posted a trade deficit of 1.4 trillion yen ($10.1 billion) in June, government data showed Thursday. Exports increased 19.4 percent from a year earlier while imports climbed 46.1 percent, the Finance Ministry said in a preliminary report. The country posted a trade deficit of 7.9 trillion yen for the first six months in 2022.
