The U.S. dollar briefly dropped below the 133 yen line to its lowest level since mid-June early Friday afternoon, as investors bought the safe-haven Japanese currency due to worries over the U.S. economic outlook following weak gross domestic product data the previous day. U.S. GDP fell for the second straight quarter in the April-June period amid high inflation.
