Japan logs trade deficit in July for 12th straight month

Japan posted a goods trade deficit of 1.44 trillion yen ($10.7 billion) in July, remaining in the red for the 12th consecutive month, the Finance Ministry said Wednesday. Imports jumped 47.2 percent from a year earlier and exports rose 19.0 percent, the ministry said in a preliminary report.
