Naomi Osaka exited from the first round of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati on Tuesday with a 6-4, 7-5 loss to China's Zhang Shuai. Runner-up at the U.S. Open warm-up event two years ago, former world No. 1 Osaka landed 10 aces but otherwise struggled with her first-serve accuracy. Her 21 winners for the match were also outweighed by 29 unforced errors.
