The United States said Wednesday it has agreed with Taiwan to launch negotiations on trade facilitation and other economic cooperation, with the first round of talks to take place early in the fall. The move is expected to "deepen our trade and investment relationship, advance mutual trade priorities based on shared values, and promote innovation and inclusive economic growth for our workers and businesses," Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Sarah Bianchi said in a press release.
