The following is the gist of Japan's eased border control measures that took effect Tuesday amid signs of decreasing coronavirus cases in the country. The policy change involves: -- lifting the 50,000-person entry cap. -- removing a ban on individual trips by foreign tourists. -- allowing people to skip COVID testing and isolation upon entry, if they have proof of having undergone three vaccinations or a negative test result within 72 hours of departure.
