China's economy in the July-September period expanded 3.9 percent from a year earlier, with growth gathering pace from the previous quarter following the end of a two-month lockdown in Shanghai, official data showed Monday. But with the Chinese government maintaining a radical "zero-COVID" policy to stem coronavirus cases, the latest figure suggests it will be difficult for Beijing to achieve its growth target of around 5.5 percent for the year.
