URGENT: Rapidus, IBM sign development partnership on next-generation chips

New Japanese semiconductor producer Rapidus Corp. and IBM Corp. said Tuesday they have signed a deal to jointly develop next-generation chips. With cooperation from IBM, Rapidus is hoping to produce 2-nanometer chips starting in 2027.
