Yokohama, Aug. 29 (Jiji Press)--Major Japanese news agency Jiji Press and Gushinkai, an association of alumni of Yokohama City University's School of Medicine, announced on Wednesday a comprehensive partnership aimed at spreading medical information and making contributions to local medical activities.
Under the partnership, information such as the results of research and cultural activities carried out by Gushinkai will be released on the news agency's Jiji Medical website.
The two sides will also consider personnel exchanges using a communications tool on the website.
At a press conference to announce the partnership, held at the university in Yokohama, the capital of Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, Gushinkai head Shinichi Toyama underscored the importance of the collaboration.
He said: "We've been lacking publicity activities. But we now hope to dramatically increase the amount of information we provide utilizing the system of Jiji Press, and to attract many promising students."
