Chiba, Oct. 17 (Jiji Press)--Cutting-edge technology and other products designed to enhance the sports viewing experience and support stadium management are showcased at the ongoing CEATEC Japan 2018 trade show near Tokyo, ahead of the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics in the Japanese capital.

Many companies are displaying such products as the Japanese government is positioning the 2020 Games as an opportunity to inform the world of the country's state-of-the-art technologies.

Sharp Corp. <6753> is introducing a system to integrate 8K ultra-high-definition images from multiple cameras at sports venues and project the integrated images on displays lined up to look like a single panorama screen.

Daikin Industries Ltd. <6367> is taking part in CEATEC, one of Asia's largest electronics and technology exhibitions, for the first time this year, with its outdoor-use air conditioner that sends out cool air in every direction.

The outdoor air conditioner "can create real cool spots" at outdoor stadiums and other venues, said a Daikin official in charge of the product's development.
