Japanese Journalist Yasuda Likely to Have Been Freed

Tokyo, Oct. 23 (Jiji Press)--Japanese freelance journalist Junpei Yasuda, who went missing in Syria in 2015, has been freed, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Tuesday night, citing information from the Qatari government.
The top Japanese government spokesman made the announcement at a hastily arranged press conference.
