Urayasu, Chiba Pref., Nov. 7 (Jiji Press)--Oriental Land Co. <4661> on Wednesday unveiled to the media its new Christmas show at its Tokyo DisneySea theme park, due to run from Thursday through Dec. 25.

The 25-minute show will be held twice a day, with Mickey Mouse and other characters, as well as performers in colorful costumes, dancing along to famous Christmas songs.

At the nearby Tokyo Disneyland park, a parade featuring characters from the blockbuster Disney movie "Frozen" will be held.

The combined number of visitors to the two parks in April-September increased 5 pct from a year earlier to 15.52 million, marking a first-half record high, according to the company, based in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, near Tokyo.

Seasonal events like the planned ones usually push up the number of visitors.
