Toyo Suisan to Raise Food Prices in April
Tokyo, Dec. 5 (Jiji Press)--Japanese food maker Toyo Suisan Kaisha Ltd. <2875> said Tuesday it will raise prices for about 200 items by up to 9 pct, effective on April 1 next year, due to higher materials and labor costs.
The company will raise the suggested retail prices of fresh noodles by 4-9 pct and those of other food products for households by 3-6 pct.
The prices of frozen food products for restaurants, including udon noodles, will be raised by 2-7 pct.
