Names of New Attractions at Tokyo Disneyland Unveiled


Tokyo, Dec. 6 (Jiji Press)--Oriental Land Co. <4661>, the operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, announced on Thursday the names of new attractions it will open at the Tokyo Disneyland theme park in spring 2020.

The company will open the Beauty and the Beast "Maho no Monogatari" (magical story) musical ride in Fantasyland of the park in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo.

Guests of the new large-scale attraction can enjoy famous scenes of "Beauty and the Beast" in an eight-minute ride at 30-meter-high Beast's Castle.

A new ride attraction inspired by "Big Hero 6" in the park's Tomorrowland will be called "Baymax no Happy Ride" (Baymax's Happy Ride), in which the robot Baymax will invite guests to a musical "whip ride" that swings them around and around, the company said.

It will be the first launch of a new attraction at Tokyo Disneyland since "Stitch Encounter" launched in July 2015.
