Ghosn Served New Arrest Warrant for Hiding More Pay

Tokyo, Dec. 10 (Jiji Press)--Public prosecutors on Monday served a fresh arrest warrant on former Nissan Motor Co. <7201> Chairman Carlos Ghosn for understating his pay over the three years through fiscal 2017 in Nissan securities reports.

Ghosn, 64, is suspected of underreporting 4.2 billion yen over the three years to March this year in violation of the financial instruments and exchange law.

The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office also served a fresh arrest warrant on former Representative Director Greg Kelly, 62. He and Ghosn had been arrested on Nov. 19 for alleged underreporting of Ghosn's pay over the preceding five years through fiscal 2014.

Ghosn and Kelly have denied the allegations, sources familiar with the situation said.

On Monday, the prosecutors indicted the two for underreporting Ghosn's pay by a total of 4.8 billion yen over the five years through fiscal 2014. The prosecutors also indicted Nissan for part of the same charge.
