Singapore, Dec. 26 (Jiji Press)--Japanese education service provider and staffing agency Human Holdings Co. has started offering robot-manufacturing classes for children in Singapore.

The program is part of its efforts to discover and foster personnel for innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence and robots.

The classes, launched on Monday, marked the company's first foray into the Southeast Asian market.

Supervised by robot creator Tomotaka Takahashi, the program is designed to teach the basics of programming through the manufacturing of robots.

Human Holdings operates more than 1,300 such classes in Japan, teaching more than 22,000 children, one of the largest robot schools in the country.
