Carlos Ghosn Denies Allegations of Misconduct in Tokyo Court
Tokyo, Jan. 8 (Jiji Press)--Former Nissan Motor Co. <7201> Chairman Carlos Ghosn Tuesday pleaded not guilty of charges against him, in his first public appearance since his arrest in Tokyo on Nov. 19.
Appearing at Tokyo District Court, Ghosn denied all charges and allegations against him. The hearing was held for the court to give reasons for his detention.
Ghosn has been indicted by Tokyo prosecutors on charges of underreporting his compensation in Nissan's financial statements. The prosecutors also suspect Ghosn of shifting his personal losses to the Japanese automaker.
