Tokyo, Jan. 18 (Jiji Press)--Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. <8766> plans to promote Satoru Komiya, senior managing director of the Japanese insurance company, to its president, informed sources said Friday.
Komiya, 58, will replace Tsuyoshi Nagano, 66, who will become chairman without the right to represent the company, the sources said.
Both appointments will become official after a shareholders' meeting in June, the sources said.
Komiya currently oversees the Tokio Marine group's overseas operations.
Nagano assumed the current post in 2013. He led the company's overseas expansion, including its acquisition of HCC Insurance Holdings Inc. of the United States in 2015.
