Hiiro to Head McDonald's Japan

Tokyo, Feb. 21 (Jiji Press)--McDonald's Holdings Co. (Japan) <2702> said Thursday it will promote Tamotsu Hiiro, 53, senior vice president at McDonald's Co. (Japan), to the subsidiary's president.
Current President Sarah Casanova, 53, will step aside to become chairman of the core unit but remain president of the parent company.
The appointments will be formalized after a general meeting of shareholders slated for March 27.
At a press conference, Casanova explained that the top management reshuffle is designed to put the subsidiary on a new stage of development and increase its growth speed.
