Omron to Tie Up with Israeli Firm in Solar Power Biz
Kyoto, Feb. 27 (Jiji Press)--Japan's Omron Corp. <6645> said Wednesday it will tie up with SolarEdge Technologies Inc., an Israeli company that mainly develops devices for solar power generation.
Omron aims to expand revenue from its energy-related business by becoming the exclusive seller in Japan of the partner's devices used in industry-use solar generation systems.
SolarEdge was set up in 2006. Its power optimizers and transformers help improve power generation efficiency without causing an output decline, according to the Kyoto-based company.
Omron plans to sell the products in Japan from June this year.
