Kagome to Hike Drink Prices for 1st Time in 11 Years
Tokyo, March 5 (Jiji Press)--Kagome Co. <2811> said Tuesday that it will raise the prices of its tomato juice and 15 other drink products for the first time in 11 years.
According to Kagome, the price hikes ranging from around 5 pct to 10 pct will be implemented on shipments from July 1.
The rises reflect increases in logistics expenses and raw materials costs.
The products subject to the price increases include a 720-mililiter bottle of Kagome Tomato Juice.
According to the major Japanese food maker, the price hikes will affect approximately a quarter of its beverage products sold to general households.
