Sendai, Miyagi Pref., March 8 (Jiji Press)--Traditional events in the three northeastern Japan prefectures hit hardest by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami are at risk of disappearing due to population outflows, after supporting disaster-affected people and helped restore local communities.
Prayer for Reconstruction
Folklore-based music and dance Kuromori Kagura has been performed in the Sanriku Pacific coastal area in Iwate Prefecture for more than 340 years. Performers tour towns and villages in the area to offer ritual dances.
