Liquid Baby Formula Hits Japanese Store Shelves
Tokyo, March 11 (Jiji Press)--A liquid baby formula product went on sale at stores across Japan on Monday after the country lifted a ban on such products last year.
Liquid baby formula is drinkable without hot water, unlike powdered baby milk, and can be kept at room temperature for six months.
It is useful in times of disasters that may cut water supplies and cause problems with other essential utilities.
In August last year, a revised health ministry ordinance came into force, allowing the production and sale of liquid baby formula in Japan.
The product containing 125 milliliters of liquid baby formula per pack was launched by Ezaki Glico Co. <2206>. The suggested retail price is 216 yen.
