Tokyo, April 27 (Jiji Press)--Two knives had been placed near the desk of Japanese Prince Hisahito at his junior high school in Tokyo, police sources said Saturday.

The knives were found to be held together with adhesive tapes around noon on Friday (3 a.m. GMT) near the desk of the 12-year-old son of Prince Akishino and Princess Kiko at Ochanomizu University Junior High School, according to the sources.

Security camera footage show a man wearing a helmet and apparent blue work clothes entered the school around when the knives were spotted.

The knives were apparently placed while Prince Hisahito and his classmates were outside their classroom, the sources said.

Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department is searching for the man on suspicion of trespassing.
