Uniqlo, GU Customer Info May Have Been Compromised

Tokyo, May 14 (Jiji Press)--Fast Retailing Co. <9983> said online shopping sites for its Uniqlo and GU casual clothing brands have suffered unauthorized accesses that may have compromised customers' personal information.

The Japanese company said it has detected unauthorized accesses to a total of 461,091 customer accounts between April 23 and Friday.

The information that may have been compromised includes names, addresses, phone numbers and part of credit card numbers, Fast Retailing said.

No fraudulent use of customer information has been confirmed so far, the company said.

On Monday, Fast Retailing invalidated the passwords of customer accounts whose information may have been compromised and called for them to reset their passwords and check the information they registered.
