Japan Keidanren Chm. Nakanishi Hospitalized

Tokyo, May 27 (Jiji Press)--Hiroaki Nakanishi, chairman of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren), has been admitted to a hospital in Tokyo, the leading Japanese business lobby said Monday.

Nakanishi, also chairman of Hitachi Ltd. <6501>, will undergo detailed medical examinations, the organization said. The name of the illness he may be suffering from was not disclosed.

He will be absent from the Imperial banquet for visiting U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday and Keidanren's regular general meeting slated for Thursday.

Nakanishi is currently scheduled to stay in hospital until the end of June.

According to a statement issued in his name, Nakanishi has been in poor health since early this month and has been to hospital for medical examinations.
