Tokyo, May 28 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko will make an official visit to Poland and Finland from June 27 to July 6, according to a plan confirmed at a cabinet meeting Tuesday.

The visit is the Crown Prince's first official overseas tour since he assumed his current title and became first in line to the throne May 1.

According to the Imperial Household Agency, it will be the first time for the couple to visit the two European nations.

The couple was invited by the two countries' governments respectively, as both states mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Japan this year.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess will leave Japan on a civilian plane from Tokyo International Airport at Haneda and arrive in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, on June 27.
