Japan January-March GDP Expected to Be Revised Up
Tokyo, June 4 (Jiji Press)--Japan's gross domestic product growth for January-March is expected to be revised up slightly, according to recent projections by 10 think tanks.
The average projection was for 2.2 pct annualized growth from the previous quarter in inflation-adjusted real terms, up from 2.1 pct in the preliminary GDP report announced last month.
The Cabinet Office will release revised GDP data Monday.
The 10 think tanks published their new GDP projections to reflect data in the Finance Ministry's business activity survey for January-March, released Monday.
Many think tanks also foresee a slight upward revision to capital investment as nonmanufacturers are actively investing in labor-saving equipment.
