Tokyo, June 4 (Jiji Press)--Mizuho Securities Co. and Seikei University will jointly conduct a research to analyze financial market reports using artificial intelligence technology.
Through the joint study with a laboratory of Hiroyuki Sakai, associate professor of the university in the city of Musashino, western Tokyo, the Mizuho Financial Group Inc. <8411> unit aims to step up the utilization of AI technology and strengthen its research capabilities.
According to Monday's announcement by Mizuho Securities, the brokerage house and the laboratory will spend a year to create a so-called polar phrase dictionary that can distinguish between positive and negative regarding phrases used in reports issued by stock, bond and foreign exchange market players.
Mizuho Securities plans to utilize the dictionary for analyzing economic trends and making market forecasts.
