Muji to Cut Prices for 1,100 Items
Tokyo, June 11 (Jiji Press)--Ryohin Keikaku Co. <7453>, the operator of Muji brand household goods stores, said it will lower the prices of about 1,100 items from Aug. 30.
For the markdowns for 116 series of products, including clothes, underwear, tableware, sweets and furniture, the company has streamlined production and distribution processes and reselected production areas and materials.
Among those products, the price for a set of three "Ashinari Chokkaku Kutsushita" socks will go down from 890 yen to 790 yen, while the prices for "Pochigashi" small candy and cookie packs, now at either 100 yen or 120 yen, will be reduced to a uniform 99 yen per pack.
