2 Japan-Related Ships Attacked near Strait of Hormuz

Tokyo, June 13 (Jiji Press)--Two ships loaded with Japan-related cargo have been attacked near the Strait of Hormuz, Japan's industry ministry said Thursday.

According to the transport ministry, a chemical tanker operated by Tokyo-based Kokuka Sangyo Co. has been hit by shells.

None of the tanker's crew members were injured and the crew included no Japanese, industry minister Hiroshige Seko said.
