Tokyo, June 25 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday morning in the western Japan city of Osaka on the sidelines of the Group of 20 summit, informed sources said Tuesday.

The Japanese and U.S. leaders, set to meet for the third month in a row, are expected to discuss tensions over Iran and issues related to North Korea.

Abe is also set to hold bilateral talks with French President Emmanuel Macron in Tokyo on Wednesday afternoon and with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Osaka on Thursday evening.

Xi's visit to Japan will be his first as president. Abe is set to host a dinner for the Chinese leader on Thursday.

Abe and Xi will discuss North Korea after the Chinese leader held talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang last week, according to the sources.
