Japanese Crown Prince, Princess Start European Tour
Tokyo, June 27 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko on Thursday started a nine-day tour that will take the couple to Poland and Finland.
The couple left Tokyo International Airport at Haneda on a civilian plane in the morning.
This year marks the 100th anniversaries of the establishment of Japan's diplomatic relations with the two European countries.
For the Crown Prince, this is his first official visit abroad since he assumed his current title and became first in line to the throne in May.
After arriving in the Polish capital of Warsaw via Germany, the couple is set to attend a welcome event at the presidential residence and make a courtesy visit to President Andrzej Duda on Friday.
