Warsaw, June 29 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko, accompanied by Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife, watched a Noh performance in Warsaw on Friday evening.

The traditional Japanese performance, held at the National Theatre, was hosted by the embassy of Japan in the Polish capital to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Japan's diplomatic relations with the European country.

The two couples sat next to each other and watched a performance of "Nomori," played by Sakae Terai, listed as important intangible cultural heritage, and other Noh actors.

Earlier on Friday, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess visited the University of Warsaw, the city's Old Town and the Royal Castle.

At the university, the couple enjoyed conversations with local students majoring in Japanese studies. The Crown Prince talked to students one by one and asked them what first stimulated their interest in Japan.
