Osaka, July 17 (Jiji Press)--Sharp Corp. <6753> said Wednesday it will start next month to provide cognitive training services to elderly people at care facilities.
The services will use a system including a large touch screen panel.
The system will automate many processes involved, including finding the interests of elderly users, setting goals, drawing up training plans and recording results, without putting additional heavy burden on staff employees at care facilities.
Using the touch screen panel, elderly people can train their cognitive functions with 20 kinds of games, including rock-paper-scissors.
Prices are expected to be around 250,000 yen annually for the most basic version of the system.
