Tokyo, July 20 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo police have arrested Kensuke Kaneko, 33, a bassist of Japanese rock band Dragon Ash, and two others on suspicion of cannabis possession.
The other two arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department for alleged violation of the cannabis control law were an unemployed woman, 25, who was with Kaneko, and musician Jesse Sorato McFaddin, 38.
Kaneko is suspected of jointly possessing a small amount of cannabis with the woman at his home around 9:30 a.m. Friday (12:30 a.m. GMT). McFaddin allegedly possessed a piece of cannabis leaf weighing 4.2 grams at his home.
According to investigative sources, Kaneko told the police that he had picked up the cannabis and that he vaguely knew it was cannabis. McFaddin has admitted to the charges, the sources said.
MPD officers found the cannabis during their raids on the homes of Kaneko and McFaddin on Friday after receiving a tip-off that they were possessing cannabis.
