Tokyo, Sept. 2 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Monday that he will reshuffle members of his cabinet next week.

The ruling camp is rich in talented personnel, ranging from veterans to young people, Abe said at a meeting of government and ruling coalition officials.

"I want to form a strong team for stability and challenges," the prime minister said, suggesting that his new cabinet will have a balanced lineup in terms of generations.

He also said that the new cabinet "will implement policies one by one that were promised in the campaigning for July's House of Councillors election and place emphasis on political continuity and stability, while tackling various challenges."

Abe said he will visit the Russian Far East city of Vladivostok for three days from Wednesday to attend an Eastern Economic Forum meeting.
