Japan, India Agree to Boost Security Cooperation Further


Tokyo, Sept. 2 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya and his Indian counterpart, Rajnath Singh, agreed Monday to bolster their countries' ties in the security field further to support a Japan-proposed free and open Indo-Pacific region.

"In line with the vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific (region), we'd like to deepen our cooperation further," Iwaya stressed at the meeting held in Tokyo.

In response, Singh voiced hope to deepen bilateral coordination also in the defense industry.
