Daiwa House, Kanagawa Pref. to Launch Smart Home Test

Osaka, Sept. 11 (Jiji Press)--Daiwa House Industry Co. <1925> said Wednesday it will launch in November a smart home demonstration test utilizing Internet of Things, or IoT, technologies in collaboration with the Kanagawa prefectural government.

The test is aimed at realizing the practical utilization of a platform to manage multiple IoT devices that Daiwa House developed jointly with NTT Docomo Inc. <9437>.

The experiment has been adopted as part of a project by the prefectural government of Kanagawa, south of Tokyo.

Daiwa House and the Kanagawa government will look for a household in the Kanagawa city of Fujisawa that will take part in the experiment.

A related exhibition will be held for assessments of the platform by experts at a model house in a residential area in Fujisawa where Daiwa House sells new houses.
