Abe Renews Vow to Carry Out Constitutional Reform
Tokyo, Sept. 11 (Jiji Press)--Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe renewed his pledge to reform the country's Constitution, following a cabinet reshuffle Wednesday.
"It's a difficult challenge, but I'll carry it out without fail," Abe stressed at a press conference after the new cabinet was launched in the afternoon.
Abe said his administration's diplomatic stance toward South Korea will "not change at all" after the cabinet shakeup.
New Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi will remain in charge of trade negotiations with the United States, Abe also said.
