Tokyo, Oct. 4 (Jiji Press)--Yusaku Maezawa, founder and former chief executive officer of Japanese online fashion retailer Zozo Inc. <3092>, said Friday that he has established a new company.

"I'll start new businesses from scratch through Start Today," Maezawa, 43, said in a Twitter post, referring to the name of the new company.

He gave no details on the new company, while saying it has no employees for now.

The name of the new company, Start Today, was used for Zozo's predecessor.

Maezawa stepped down as Zozo CEO on Sept. 12, when he announced plans to sell the company to internet portal Yahoo Japan Corp. <4689>, a subsidiary of Softbank Corp. <9434>.
