Kansai Electric Execs Offer to Resign from Outside Posts

Osaka, Oct. 4 (Jiji Press)--Kansai Electric Power Co. <9503> Chairman Makoto Yagi and President Shigeki Iwane have offered to resign from executive posts they hold outside the company, informed sources said Friday.
Yagi stepped down as an outside board member of Nippon Life Insurance Co. on Friday, the sources said.
He will also resign as an outside board member of H2O Retailing Corp. <8242> and an outside auditor of Yomiuri Telecasting Corp., the sources said.
Yagi will continue to serve as deputy chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation, according to Kansai Electric.
Iwane will step down as an outside board member of Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corp. <4508> and Television Osaka Inc.
