Tokyo, Oct. 28 (Jiji Press)--Japan Display Inc. <6740> said Monday it has resumed production at its mainstay plant in Mobara, Chiba Prefecture, eastern Japan, after suspension due to power outage stemming from torrential rains.

The plant resumed operations around 1 a.m. (4 p.m. Sunday GMT) after halting production at 6 a.m. Saturday as gas supply facilities were shut down by the blackout, the company said.

The Mobara plant makes liquid crystal and organic light-emitting diode panels for Apple Inc.
