Tokyo, Oct. 28 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo should become more attractive to foreign businesses, Mori Building Co. President Shingo Tsuji said.
"We will create a 'magnetic force' for foreigners in the capital," Tsuji said in a recent interview with Jiji Press. He was referring to the ongoing huge area redevelopment project in Minato Ward.
The 8.1-hectare project features a 330-meter-tall main tower that will become Japan's tallest building when completed in 2023. There is also a 2.4-hectare green area.
Construction work started in August after some 30 years of negotiations with landowners. The project is comparable to the Roppongi Hills complex in the same ward developed in the 2000s by Mori Building.
"We are pursuing 'greenery in the city' as a theme," Tsuji said.
