Recruit April-Sept. Net Profit Up 23.2 Pct

Tokyo, Nov. 13 (Jiji Press)--Japanese human resources services provider Recruit Holdings Co. <6098> said Wednesday its April-September group net profit rose 23.2 pct from a year earlier to 114,148 million yen.

The rosy results reflected strong performances at its job search site Indeed and Glassdoor, a U.S. online job site that Recruit Holdings acquired last year.

Sales increased 5.1 pct to 1,201,201 million yen.

There was no impact on the fiscal first-half earnings from a scandal in which subsidiary Recruit Career Co. sold data on the probability of job-hunting students declining informal job offers, a company official said.

The scandal is likely to have only limited impact on earnings for the full year through March 2020, Recruit Holdings said. The company left its full-year earnings projection unchanged.
