26 New Coronavirus Cases Confirmed in Tokyo

Tokyo, June 6 (Jiji Press)--The Tokyo metropolitan government reported 26 new cases of novel coronavirus infection in the Japanese capital on Saturday, with the daily number exceeding 20 for the third straight day.
Of the total, 16 people apparently got infected at facilities in nightlife districts, according to the metropolitan government. Of the 16, 12 are men who work as hosts at a same host club, which is asking its customers to get tested for the virus.
Meanwhile, two people were found with the coronavirus in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, southwestern Japan, on Saturday. The city saw new cases for 15 straight days, during which a total of 137 people tested positive for the virus.
Across Japan, 46 infection cases were confirmed Saturday. Fatalities linked to the coronavirus grew to 932, with two new deaths confirmed in Tokyo.
