Tokyo Confirms 32 New COVID-19 Cases

Tokyo, Oct. 23 (Jiji Press)--Tokyo confirmed 32 new COVID-19 infection cases on Saturday, the seventh straight day below 50 and a decrease of 34 from a week before.
There was one new death. The seven-day average of new infection cases dropped 45.8 pct from a week before to 34.3, while the number of patients with severe symptoms rose by one from Friday to 22.
Across Japan, 285 new infection cases were reported, the seventh consecutive day below 500. There were 208 patients with severe symptoms, down by nine from Friday, and five new fatalities.
